Well, we should be going down the racetrack now, but it is misting really heavily right now. The radar isn't looking too good. We are supposed to get a run this morning then run class at 11. Since we are already a half hour behind and they can't dry the track until it quits, we are looking at probably another 2 hours before we go down.

Thanks to Jennifer McCormack for the "Dreamsicles" she made last night. They were really good. She also made snowcones for the kids.

Did they bring a dryer in? I don't remember Columbus having one.

Well folks as Daryl said, it is pouring rain. It quits every now and then and then goes back to pouring. They did have a track dryer out here yesterday. This morning they had a vacuum truck working on the track, but I am sure they will wait now until it stops and then start all over again.

I know I am glad that we got here relatively early and are parked on the rock road, so we won't have to be pulled out. It is not too bad yet, but we do have standing water right outside the door. We had our awning out before it started raining and everything was great until the wind picked up and the awning came in and dumped all the water on the chairs, etc. Oh well, it is supposed to be nice tomorrow. So maybe everything will dry out before we have to put it up.

It is not looking too good to get class in today, but they have not announced anything yet. If it stops pretty soon, maybe they could have everything ready to run in a couple of hours.

Well we have plenty to eat and drink, so I am sure we will survive!

Well it is official. We are done for the day. Stock runs first round in the morning at 8:30. They announced we would be called to the lanes at 8:00. TD, TS, and comp will get a time trial and everyone else will be running 1st round. The people who came in last night and this morning will be added to the bottom of the sheets. There were at least 4 stockers who came in--Keihn, Stephenson, Forbes, Bennett.

Well I think I am going to start on some Long Island Tea.

Well Patsy, it's a little hot with the blue blue skys here in Dallas. My intentions were good to take some pictures but we have been working on the comp car since we arrived. I hope everything blows thru tonight for ya'll.

Well we are sitting here after having a great steak dinner and some good cheap wine. Larry has gone up to see if they have posted anything else. There were 87 stockers that had been teched, but they gave them the option to withdraw since they were not going to get a time trial in the morning. It has finally about quit raining.
