I have been a big fan of the NMRA for 10 years now and a big fan of NHRA/IHRA class racing for 32 years.
I am amazed at how popular the 79 and later Mustangs are with the under 45 group.

Makes me wonder if there will be any younger guys in the future that will have any interest in class racing , or will the average age of the class racers keep climbing fast ?

Sorry for the delay in answering your post, haven't had any power for a for days. And no I'm not here to call anybody names but by your post of wanting CHANGE to a really great sport of CLASS RACING witch is a performance based class, to a type of racing that has no real rules, ET racing, It seemes to me you liberal thinking guys are always trying to overhall something that just needs a tune up.I wont be driving eight or nine hundred miles to et race for any amount of money but I will drive a thousand to kick my buddys *** in the same class for a throphy.I have a et track 25 mi from here and thats where I et race.

It's so dumbed down now you don't have to know anything to make one run under the indexes. Used to be the guys that could not make a car run bracket raced. Now we are all bracket racers most of the time. Sucks.

X2 Lane, which is partly (if not totally) why Bandimere doesn't do the High School Reunion race (at least as far as I know of), since I won the one and only 1990 race driving a 4cyl fwd Chevy Celebrity...the faster cars cried fowl, while I earned a legitimate race win, with my 20sec car.
