I remember it back when i used to go to the northern races with Kenny Koonce Sr when he was running a 69 camaro A/SA 427...Man i'm getting old....
I knew of what Leon was looking for back in 1974 and hooked him up with the owner.. It was an original 390 HP Silver Convert. with automatic. Leon bought it for something a little over $3000 and he ran B/SA with it in the early days of the rearanged stock elim. Later he ran AA/SA with a 435 HP combo in IHRA. After that Leon went to S/S after Ken Keir reworked the chassis and he hasen't looked back. Guess that makes me even older.....LOL.

Alan, I to know where that vette is now and then, you are right it is BAD! But, was the black one, which I believe ran very little, was out of Florida? If so where is it currently? Thanks. That car was ahead of its time.

WOW there all Great. Love the vette. But I do have a soft spot for Ralph’s. Armstrong’s cars are just really FAST wow.

Nope. The black one belongs to Tony Rhodes, right here in Murfreesboro TN. His son, Tony Jr, drives a Chevy II. Tony Sr. parked the car when they took the 67 L-88 out of the guide.

i remember it when he ran at Huntsville and Atlanta back in the days...I wondered whatever happend to it........

I would say Tony, and Bridges are my favorites. I've been watching Jimmy race since i was 10yrs of age.......He has told me some funny stories over the years...

Alan, thanks for the clarification, it has been a while! LOL....You said it was black did it have some anodized wheels on it? I saw it from afar and it looked great! I bet if it is not back in the books someone could push to have it reinstated. Do you have any pictures of the car?
