The later centerlink sits higher and farther back, it needs to go down and forward to clear the front of the sump. You can use it, but you need to bend the idler and pitman are quite a bit. All the cars I've seen have the early stuff on them.

Only place I could find one was from a parts car. It's not a wear part so I doubt anybody makes a new one, but you never know.

Well I'm not adverse to bending the arms a bit. I have my front end all done ready for alignment. I changed the tie rod ends over to Spherical rod ends and can't get the front end travel I need. So lowering the steering arm and pitman arm helps me gain back geometry for more travel.............

You say 1" that is pretty huge!!!!
