Last year I spoke to the Goodyear drag racing engineer that happened to be at Pomona. I brought up the subject as regards to the high speed in Stock Eliminator with their 9" on the CJ's and DP's.
His response was the tire is designed and tested for speeds over 160 mph and cars up to 4000 lbs. He also stated, just like Mark/A56 shared, that it is up to the racer to have the appropriate suspension setting to run the high speeds. |

I thought dot drag radials were legal as long as they weren't larger than 9" or 94 circ?

They are in D2, my friend has a Corvette that he drives to the NHRA national and division races, he uses drag radials. Casey Miles 248H Stock? |
