Sure Danny, start a new topic about them and I'll see what I can do...but for now here's another story on a '62 Pontiac Catalina.

I worked for a guy once that was a well known Pontiac tuning expert.

Stu Rogers....He was a patrner on Bill Izykowski's first B/S Biscayne and pretty much the man responsible for the cars performance.

He had a '62 Catalina convertible. It was a 4 speed 421 or 428. It was a street car and ran low 13's at the track when he raced it which wasn't often.

He bought a '62 Gand Prix and had it painted the same color green as Brents Firebird. It had no driveline.

We took the entire drivline out of the convertible and installed it in the Grand Prix in one day......Made a real nice steet car and that was around 1966.

We worked at Tony Feil's shop at the time and did a lot of work on fast street cars in the back......

Stu was quite a charachter.....but knew how to make Pontiacs run better than anyone.....

Sounds like a great combination. Thank you for the comment on my old beater.

Mr. Moose, you may have something there.

Yea..it 60 fts pretty good... i had a good friend/chassis guy do some work to the housing and upper control arms, and my brother boxed the lowers completely.... and along with the greasable alum bushings(with steel sleeves), it works like a charm. Gonna do some work like this to my '72 Lemans Wagon... wanting to put the big Hoghead rear in it, but, money too tight to get it
done this year...

This is a cool pic... ive thought about doin' the car up like an old one from the early 60's(like this one)... too bad its a convertible... i have yet to find the right car to immulate... any suggestions? Lookin for a black '62 Class car from the '60s that was a heavy hitter...

THanks Mr Kirkpatrick! Ryan, I presume...hehe Hope to see you at Muncie this Saturday...i will be in the '62... i have a few things to do to my 'Bird before
it sees the track ... one of which is slicks.... but i have this weird brake thing to work out... I completely rebuilt front drum brakes(rubber lines too), new master cylinder, and the brakes are still spongy and hard to do a burnout(line lock not holding well)...so its either air in the lines, or the line lock has some sort of problem. I have a spare line lock, so, i will try that first chance it get... Hi to your Dad and brother!

Are you looking for another Pontiac or any old car from the 60's to do up...why not letter up the one you have now with some graphics & give it a nasty name...it sure would look cool.
