thanks, Brett. The 62 went 12.15@ Indy earlier in the year at the points meet and 107mph with a big (20 MPH) tailwind. Usually runs about 104. Hey Danny L.!! Thanks for the kind words. I do feel better now! We've been working on the 62 this month and hope to go .5 under even in our regular 2500 - 3000 ' air. Thanks so much guys. I appreciate all of you. Hey Marty, you're too humble! lol. Bob michael.

Dang, Bob, thats awesome performance from that combo... How much trouble is it to get the 3dueces to work that well? I hope to see you and your car someday soon... my plans are to be @ Indy points meet in 2014 with my bird. I would consider doin the '62 , if there was a Stock GT class, where i could build a later model combo for it... like a 250HP 455 or even a 400... I only have a few early parts(2 sets of '62 heads and 1 block). No intake manifold. So it wouldnt be worth it... I wanted to try the smallest 4bbl engine for the '62, probably wouldnt be easy to make good #'s with...the carb is only like 500cfm...

Brent, I think you have the right idea building the Firebird. The way Randi Lynn and Leo Glasbrenner fly would be very appealing! Parts for the 62 can be found on ebay but are very costly. The smallest 4-BBL motor is stick shift only. (235 hp)

Yeah. i thought so(235 4bbl manual)...but i was hoping they'd make an exception hehe... Ive wanted a '68 Bird Stocker , since i was a little kid , watching Roy and MIke McKinney run the original Truman car, and then they built a second one, and painted them both to match. There are some awesome running D and E Birds out there... i want to join in the flock...hehe ....I might be at the tail, but, thats ok!

Best of luck!
