Re: Live from Gainesville 2013
We are in and set up!!!!! Way down next to the ET shack..... We like this area.... Not so much the dirt road even though they do water it down but just the quietness during the night.... I have to go to bed with the chickens to get up before the rooster crows!!!! Old habits are so very hard to break.........

Did they get everyone in that was in line?

Re: Live from Gainesville 2013
Art,
We were one of the last few rigs in. They had finished what was in the parking lot, but I would imagine they will have more stacking tonight. We are parked right next to everyone's favorite live reporters! (Mr. Larry and Mrs. Patsy) |

Art, everyone is parked that was in line. Red, Wallace and they rest of the crew did a great job getting everyone parked. They started at 2 and finished about 7, pretty amazing.
There was only a few cars out, one being Gary Richard's beautiful 69 Camaro that I am parked next to. I don't know who owns the CJ, and not sure what class, he will be running he has both stk and ss letters on the window. It turned out to be a nice day, the sun came and it felt good to be in some warn weather for a change. The rest of the week is supposed to be great. |
Re: Live from Gainesville 2013
Thanks. We will be there in around Noon.
Looks like some good air on Thursday. |
Re: Live from Gainesville 2013
If they park you like the parked everyone today, you should be in quick. They are calling for overnight lows to be in the 30's. The morning shots will be fast.

After a long day of sitting in line, we finally got parked at around 4:00 pm today. Things went pretty smooth once rigs went through the gate. Looked like there was some drama going on with the order of who was pulled into the gate, but once you went in, everything was fine.
We're in a pretty good spot along the road where are the rigs went in. Grounds look pretty solid in most places, which is a plus. With the forecast for good weather, it should be race for the record books. Only took one picture today. As you can see, Dad is busy surveying the parking situation... More tomorrow. |
