I rode 'The Wild Mouse' in 1963......... That first right turn at the top of the incline......:eek: Freedomland, Baychester Northeast Section of The Bronx.. I guess the parking lot was used for 'Line Launching' in 1965 after Freedomland went 'bankrupt' at the end 1964. Wasn't that area 'reserved' for the Baychester Section of the Bronx, as well as Pelham, New Rochelle and Mount Vernon - Racers. I do here from some Lower Westchester (Yonkers) and Northwest Bronx (Kingsbridge and Fordham) 'Street- Racers' who hit the Bronx River Parkway on Saturday Nights during the early 1960's |
