Was`nt espn continually talking about the bike jockeys goin at in the pits. did they get fined? did they get suspended. if they didn't we are looking at a one sided organization still.

Glad to be an ex-racer.

Apologize?
Just don't patronize NHRA anymore, just like the fans didn't at Englishtown.

I would more than happy to give Dave money for the fine, But would also give more to his appeal and legal fees to bring the treatment of sportsman racers safaty just to keep on time. I am sure there are vidios , other racers statements going all the way back to the winters to bring this to a head. Many racers where put in a unsafe situation on more than one time due to poor track prep. Maybe they realy don,t know after all they realy are not racers and they do not know what it takes for a sportsman racer to get to there inhanced show. There meger attemp to raise monies with fines lately to make up on lost revenews shows there desperation to make ends meet. I am sure weather has hit there pocket book with houston and atlanta hard with lost income. { Ken how about getting spell check on here?} Tom

I can't help but wonder how NHRA would've handled it if, when Stock/SS were called to the lanes, all the competitors drove right past the staging director and parked on the track in protest.

At the 2011 Dutch Classic, my car owner asked the starter to check out our lane because the track looked funny on one side of the lane after the snowmobiles ran. The starter looked over and ignored to check it out for himself. Seconds later I stuffed it into the wall. It went straight for the center line and I tried to steer it back but it got away from me.

And keep in mind my car owner never would have stopped me after the burnout unless there was something wrong.

Here's the video. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/HVY2...ARTON.mp4.html

At Englishtown my car owner asked the starter if he could drag the track to do something about the bald spots. His reply was that there wasn't enough time because they had a schedule to stick to. Boy, we feel really important. I paid my entry fee didn't I?

BTW, I'm taking donations to pay for this fine if anyone is feeling generous. I'm 33 years old and I'm trying to support my family. The last thing I have is $2500 to pay for this absurd fine for trying to speak up.

And one more thing. The letter I received mentioned several times about how they want to keep everything at a professional level. How is neglecting the starting line being professional? And how professional was the starting line crew when they were flat out ignoring everyone. People were even getting booted off the line for looking at it. If the track was any good nobody would bother to look ahead of time.

I think a fair deal is apologize to the starter as he was probably just doing as he was told, NHRA drops the fine as there was obviously issues with the track.

147 * $2,500 = $367,500.... "No problem!"

Just curious, does anyone know what they do with the money that is collected for these fines that they are levying on these racers?

It funds John Force's voice coach.
