I've had the same thing happen with a heads up at a Divisional Race here in D6. I totally agree with what Mr Koski said.... |
Re: stock winner not weighed
When cars are in 2 different classes and they don't make big dial change,in time crunch wave by scales OK, when heads up not OK ,finals at INDY heads up NEVER should that happen.

Re: stock winner not weighed
You guys are all wet about this deal and have your shorts in a bunch over nothing --- who in their right mind would be light in a heads-up final round in the biggest race of their life ? ? ? All this after being weighed a zillion times all week ......not a chance ! ! !

Re: stock winner not weighed
You never know. Sometimes there isn't time to go to the scales and check your weight. Why have scales if you're not going to use them for a heads-up race???
I won a heads-up race in Chicago one time and I knew I was going to be close on weight, so I pushed the car to the scales after coasting as far as I could. My weight was right on the minimum. |

Just ask Bryan Worner and Herbie Null. (At the Atco points meet a few weeks ago, These two had a GT/EA headsup run in the third round. As I was told, Herbie pulled out 40 lbs to get to the minumum for the run. He was scaled after beating Bryan and the car was actually 50 lbs lighter - meaning 10lbs light fo rthe run). Bryan was reinstated. I say ALL headsups should be weighed 100% of the time... and ps.... (It wouldn't hurt for a quick underhood inspection too to see if the correct carb is on the car!!!... don't think that hasn't ever happened). PS>>>> I also believe Brad was 100% legal on weight |
