When I started this thread I was under the impression that nhra had adopted a "mine shaft" policy similar to comp eliminator.
Never Mind.

what is a "real " comp car ?

I'm not sure that's why I was asking. I have asked and was told that none of my cars would fit into a comp class.

I'm sure the big three want to be at the top they are the ones producing the cars. I was thinking Modify Stock= MS/A B C and run in comp setting but make the bump at 1 under instead of 7.

You would think between the Candies, Richards, Holbrook, Butner, Skillmans, and the Teuton familes NHRA would sit down as ask just what we would like to do. I'm not excluding any of the other new cars they are invested in this as well, it's just those seem to have more than just 2 cars in each of the classes.

Who wouldn't like to see FAST racing between the new cars? Unfortunatly we have NEW cars the the slower class so will this fix the problem or just band aid it?

With all the alphabet classes now being handed out ( see the "live fom the Gators 2014" thread or the thread about Chris Holbrook's 3 wally Thursday), something should be done before it gets any crazier??? I am not sure what the answer is, but maybe Bret Kepner can help with this. He seems to have a handle on class designations.

I think the factory race cars surfaced in 2008 and the older combinations realized there was a problem then, now [6] SIX years later it's even worse, because they are still getting faster and I think a few combination still have more potential, it's obvious when they won't run it out the back door even at a NO Ahfs race, so it can get crazier. Some of the older combos may be capable of better numbers but why risk getting HP and hurt yourself. I have to go slap my wife and then go next door and kick my neighbors dog!?#*%$+= Okay I feel better now, my friends tell me life is short, enjoy your time. Others will tell you that you have to work harder and spend more money on your junk. More and more new cars are showing up so a heads up race becomes more frequent and what really sucks is when you know you don't even have chance unless ?#*%$+= I'm going to take a sip of that KOOL AID shut up and go away.

I think it is one trigger per car at one race no matter how many one under runs by that one car

Some one please post the rule to correct me
