Re: Richard Doane
I always enjoyed seeing Richard come through the tech line. I knew he would be in a good mood and greet me with a smile. He was also a wealth of knowledge when I would run into a problem with the suspension on a car I would be working on...especially Corvettes.
Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed by many and I for one am honored to have known you. |

Richard grew up in our little town and I remember his race cars from the 60's. He always had the best of stuff. He will be sorely missed. Godspeed my friend! Bob Michael

Re: Richard Doane
I had the privilege of racing against Richard in the final last year at the div 3 fall classic he had asked me if we were to come back to the staging for contingency I laughed and said sir I'm a rookie at being in a final. I ended up winning the race (the first since my late father had passed) and he embraced me and said "son you did your old man proud congratulations!" I was already teary eyed and he made them tears flow harder. He really was one of the good guys! He will be missed. RIP my friend.
