When I went through tech, the official asked about tethers and I showed him that he could see them through the fender well and he was good with that. Next he looked at the battery and asked if it was real. I thought he was kidding so I told him that the battery was real, but the engine was fake. I said the real engine was in the trunk. He kind of laughed and said that despite the fact that it was all over the internet, they found one in an all star car. Didn't ask who and I am sure he would not say either.

Awesome pictures, thanks so much! Glad to see the weather was good there. We haven't seen the sun in days, the winds off the lake have made Chicago be very gray, foggy and cool. Looks like sun here today for the first time all week!

Interesting about the battery. We can all be so very creative in this sport, can't we!?!

Rumor is if all the stars align today, we can be home by this evening. If he feels up to it we will come by the track tomorrow. Not much opportunity to rest in this place, even though you are in bed almost all day. :( But he feels 110% better and ready to bust outta here! :D
