Anyway, looks like a very good weekend of racing. Anybody, what was the temperature at the track each day?? Just curious.

According to DRC, it was 117 degrees for all three rounds of Stock today. Started at 105-107 for first round of the pros, 115 second round, 117 for pro semis and the Sportsman stuff, 118 for the pro finals. That is what the starter posted on the Mello Yello barrel for each round.

Dale, I bailed at 3 cars. Mick Alley was R/U.

Also, Best Engineered went to an orange Maverick owned by Randy Mincks that he raced in S/C. Although I'm sure Gary Ermish would've gladly accepted the award!

Thanks for the pics!

It was hot up there. Sorry for the errors. I fixed the Stock RU but managed to miss most of S/Comp so I didn't have a photo of the Maverick. At least the one I posted was orange...

Thanks Larry for the update. Those must be track temps, but shows it was definitely warm there. We were in Vancouver, Wa. on Saturday by the Columbia river and it was very warm there. Got chance to go out to Astoria, Or. and then up to Long Beach, Wa. for awhile on the way home and it was in the upper 60's there, very nice for my wife.

As some on here know she is dealing with cancer and can't be out in the heat very long. Overall she is doing well and we just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary on the 27th of July, so this was a little get away for us. Had an AWESOME time with her and all the relatives.

Hey Jody, I know you wanted a win, but semi's is not bad. Glad to see that Toby was there doing his video work. Say Hi for me.

Good job to all that went rounds but I'm somewhat surprised there has been no comments of the starting line condition on Sunday.
It was funny listening in and the commentator had no idea about a car spinning on the leave, "Oh, I've never seen a car leave like that before, what could be wrong"
I think all the 9" tire gang had problems, stick guys loved it but I'm thinking the SS guys where OK ??

Had a couple of S/SS cars die on launch over the weekend but Sunday seemed OK to me. But I'm a spectator. One car pulled the wheels coming to the line and either shut down or was nixed by the starter and Angie Bushmaker stalled after the water box burn against the Fletcher kid.

Different story for the nitro and alky boys, though. They either hooked or didn't. Too many oil downs, too.

Dale
