Damn now I have to cut new vinyl for both cars and try and figure out where they fit again....Glad I have all winter. Very glad to see new classes for the new cars, that should make the Pre 2008 car owners happy.

However....where are the indexes listed? If they are soft, and all the new cars are 1.0+ under there will be all the same amount of of crying going on. If they are tough then you will have an ever increasingly number of new car owners crying.

Does this mean that all the FS cars in stock run heads up and off their indexes like the "factory shootout" now? Does my 2009, 6.1 Hemi that could "only" go .839 under and not make the show at Indy this year have a chance to qualify?

So far this is just a list with a bunch of letters.

Chuck,
Hopefully they will have to live and die by the same sword as everyone else with AHFS. Then it will take care of itself, not quickly though.

Not that this affects S/SS, Pro stock bike and car are Sunoco only on fuel now.

The aluminum radiator has been needed for some time, even the 80's cars and finding a good core has become expensive. I can't imagine what you guys with the older cars spend on one.

Yep, it is a great move for making the GM products go faster since it will make legal the use of the Chevy LS cast iron and aftermarket 11, 15 and 18 degree cylinder heads!

The Ford N351 cylinder head cannot compete against the GM offerings.

Still don't get why you would create separate GT classes for post 2008 combos without lowering the weight break. Your still eliminating a lot of the combos that people could potentially run.

I read COPO, Cobra Jet, and Drag Pak, not the regular production models.

Anyone know the deal on the chassis certs and SFI stuff?

Exactly. I don't see a reason to celebrate. I think that it's a cheap shot by NHRA.

Glad I didn't get replacement letters for mine yet! A lot of garage ornaments till the indexes come out....It would also hurt new car attendance if the license requirement isn't managed....ie SS/JA and down is a no-license zone which helps those that can't/don't want to get license....not sure how they will manage that in the new car kiddie pool....

Great to see the old and new separation to help because of the inability to adequately factor but once again more and more separation of cars into smaller and smaller classes. I know its all a dial in on points meets etc but .....At least that part of the problems is solved...
