RJ Sledge are you saying Roy got his Belly hung in the steering wheel?
How do you know?
Is that something you have experience with?
Are "Belly Bars" a Ford only Shelby approved option?

I heard many racers around the starting lanes saying he should be banned from driving until he either puts wheelie bars on the car or quits showboating.

This has to be by far the funniest racing video I've ever seen! Kudos to the producer! Just wanted to share that I heard from the stock pits that Good Ole Roy had a Super Stock engine in that car! LOL. Wouldn't surprise me, especially since he chose to sit out the rest of the event in that car.

I'm really at a loss to see why anyone would think what Roy did was cool! To me those runs show a lack of common sense and makes for a very dangerous situation for both drivers. Shame on NHRA for letting him make three passes knowing the potential danger that cars setup presented. I'm sure that isn't the first time the car has done that and Roy felt he would be a hit at Indy letting it get so far out of control. Some people have more money than sense. Jim

EXACTLY...we all know how to tie our cars down with several methods at our disposal !!!! Truly a lack of respect for his competitor in the opposite lane !!!!!

I don't know that NHRA is to blame for it. Roy, of all people, should know your right foot can stop the ride at any time. Oh, and a good pair of struts and some travel limiters would help too!

The guy in the other lane

Anybody with a wheelstand prone car will tell you he needs more than wheelie bars on that thing. He needs to call Stanuff, they can sell him struts to fix that. That thing will unload so hard, if adding wheelie bars is all that is done, he is going to probably kill some sprags. Been there, done that.

And, yes, the guy in the other lane cares.
