Very sad to learn of Paul's passing...way too young! Thoughts and prayers to Paul
and family....

He was the heart and soul of this section......always coming up with something
different....to make it interesting....

Dino....how about some sort of tribute to Paul....at the Dover Reunion?

This is a great loss , his posts kept those of us that check here often ,captivated to see what knowledge Paul was posting next . What a shock to read of his passing . Anyone know what happened to him ? He never gave any indication he was ill , he just seemed interested in taking his time to share his knowledge to the rest of us ,,,thanks Paul .

Re: Paul Cesarine

Rest in peace Paul.... While we never met, Paul pm'd me here awhile back about my "Cuda and had some very nice words to say. I really did figure we would meet to shake hands some day.....

Paul had told me that he had "hundreds" of photos from Dover dragway back in the day. Also video footage of my '70 'Cuda (Lead Zeppelin) and the '68 "heads up" car that John Macey drove back then. He told me it was all stored at his sisters house and he was going to retrieve it and show me them someday.... sad if all those photos and videos die with him. And personally I told him back then that I would love to see them, but really would love them to be posted publicly for all the memories and people that were in them while they ARE still around. It would be kind of neat if those photos could be located and a "Paul Cesarine Photo Collection" be posted as a memorial.

Godspeed Paul, I still plan on shaking your hand someday......

Well stated John, I consider Paul to have been the most respected historian on this forum and agree he should be honored in name by Class Racer in someway.
He also reached out to me through PMs in a very thoughtful way. I already miss him.

I forgot about the PM's he sent me right after I joined, he was the first one to welcome me to this site! He also told me he had pics of my Hemi Dart and would send them to me, which he did send a couple, but said he had more. I really do hope the family gets someone to add his collection to the web, it would be a very cool way to preserve his legacy. He was only a year older than me, but had an unbelievable knowledge bank!:)

I might have a pic or two of that "Lead Zeppelin" car buried somewhere...didn't know that
was your car...If I can get some downtime to search...I'll post them....

RIP Paul...wish I had the chance to meet you....

My car was actually the Poison Dart car bought new and raced by Richard Shipley from Batlimore. Not many color pictures unfortunately.

Rhinodaert, did you contact Richard's son. I talked to him and he has some color shots of his father's car.I located him at work. If you need the number, I'll get it to you... Jack

Re: Paul Cesarine

I found Paul to be a in depth guy. We P/M once about his growing up in a drag racing family, and found many things that he and my son had in common.
He and I felt that they both missed time with their fathers because I and his father worked very much and long hours making a living and racing.
Would loved to have spent some time with him in person.
Sad that will not come to pass. He will be missed I think not only on this site, but by all who ever met him R.I.P.
