Lot of racers having a tough time with 8000rpm flat tappet hydraulic lifters.

What about a limit on Valve Spring Pressure.
Saying that!
What would make common sense?
or
Should racers be doing that anyway?

There is where my car is concerned, starting with my exhaust manifolds....no headers on my engine, primarily because no one makes them for it.

Rules just make it more expensive, I have 2 new round lobe flat tappet cores being ground right now for my stocker....I could buy almost 10 8620 rollers for the price of those 2 cams, and 4 sets of roller lifters for the 1 set of flat tappets for the cams

carry on

I guess if you are looking for headers at a big box store, but why not make a set or have a set made? REF is in Arizona. Maybe they could make a set if you brought the car to them?

Never really understood why the spring pressure rule was overturned. It was easy to enforce on everything but a flathead. Wait were not running those anymore. It made you use your head and not just your pocketbook in several areas. Just my $.02

Who will be the first to go back to the OEM parts and get run over (Flattened) or worse have their engine explode !

After all these aftermarket parts, NHRA considers flat tappets, albeit very non-stock ones, to be the sacred cow making the car "Stock". WOW
