Re: Charlie Wescott Jr
Nothing to be ashamed of here. Great showing for the first time out. Westcotts will figure it out.

Re: Charlie Wescott Jr
Charlie is too smart to not be able to figure it out; he will be alright. It's just a matter of time.

Pro Stock is a bore.

Re: Charlie Wescott Jr
I wish Charlie all the best in his effort, but he is going to have a long and expensive learning curve to deal with. I am curious if he feels that the new efi rule is a positive or a negative to his new operation.
I am sure that he will give it his best effort as he catches up with the rest of the field in the toughest category in NHRA. The class needs a Ford in Pro Stock to attract and retain fans. |

What needs to be stressed here is that someone took a "defunct" brand and built it into a qualifying ProStocker, then proceeded to throw a 6.883 at a 6.875. That's a win in my book. Dale |

Re: Charlie Wescott Jr
Not to be nitpicky with all the accolades for him qualifying first time out. But all he had to do is show up and pass tech.
I do wish him well and commend him for doing it his way. But right now anyone with a car that passes tech is a qualifier. |

ProStock is essentially ProMod with body and engine restrictions. And stick shifts. ProMod with 500 cid gas EFI and clutches would be interesting. Dale |
