I will be out west for pomona and vegas
And I have driven 1200 miles for a grade point before.
No whining
Can't you get 3 grade points at Las Vegas alone
Open and 2 points meets
Double in Utah . 5 grade points in 4 weekends

It is financial discrimination. One look around the pits and I easily see it. But we enjoy beating the 100K 8 second mustangs soo much we keep coming back :) Can't imagine what it must be like to just pull up to the diesel pump with a unlimited business credit card.

Each grading point is roughly $1000
To get into Pomona it will cost $6000 plus $330 (with special insurance)

The best part is that next year when they lower the quota again it might take 12 grade points to get in.............................

Because having 5 grade points is not a guarantee of entry because it depends or who enters and what the quota is............

I guess that nobody has heard of the "slippery slope"??????????????

I have 2 tracks (Bakersfield & Sacramento) about 150 miles from my house (closest tracks) but NHRA can't seem to reach an agreement to race at their own tracks????????????????

I have been asking about a five year plan for about fifteen years and NHRA won't or can't tell us what the future looks like.....

Bob

Guys stk and ss are not for everybody. Your local tracks have bracket 1 and 2 if time and money is the issue.

I appreciate you all racers coming out West we need the economic hit with Your Money $$$$$ come on out Bring Your expense money lol Bring Gambling money also you will win big here of course ?

The "beyond your control" issue should be taken care of with the provision for hardship cases that is clearly stated under the grade point policy. I'm guessing this doesn't cover lack of time, lack of money or broken parts.

I race as much as my time and money allow and have the spares that I can afford to try eliminate the broken parts scenario.

Is it really worth it?

This is nationwide. People are spending $4k to $6k to enter a National Event, for what? A chance at a Wally? A week of being filler for the Pro's? Getting your schedule moved-around as the NHRA sees fit?

Gluttons for punishment I guess.....

Past champs, no problem, no grade points needed, just enter, I can't blame them if the event is local.

You guys need to quit whining about not getting in to Vegas or Pomona. You sound like a bunch of entitled whiny millennial's
The quota has been 75 for 10 months now.
life is not far and we all can't get a trophy. Buck up get 5 grading points for 2017 and learn from your mistakes. There's a reason C Bob and others have 6-8 grade points per year and its because we like to race and don't like getting locked out of a events we want to run. Sorry guys Bernie Sanders lost a few months ago.

Make American Great Again
Less Whining, more foot to *****

^^^^^^^There ya go!!

It's worth every penny if that's what I want to do with my money! And if it's one of the races my wife likes to go to its cost me around 3k, she has select races she likes because of their proximity to various outlets.
