I agree Dennis.
I have attended both NMRA and NMCA events and have always felt welcomed there.

Their upper management "gets it" and understands and listens to their racers.

The ability to listen to the racers is one of the great things about a smaller organization, unlike a giant corporate sanctioning body.

Dumb move on NMCA to schedule on top of the NHRA points race and Gatornationals just a few miles up the road. There was 68 SS cars and even more stickers at Gainesville. Better scheduling would have meant more cars. I would have gone if it was an off weekend from N and IHRA.

On a positive note, the May NMCA race in Bowling Green , KY is the weekend before the Sportsnationals, so maybe it will attract some class racers that are looking for back to back weekends of racing.

Unfortunately it is same weekend as Norwalk Divisional. Should draw good with the southern guys, but the Indiana and Ohio racers are going to have to choose.

I forgot about Norwalk.

The NMCA 2017 schedule was set in stone long before the new class was added and it would be foolish to expect them to bend over backwards or shuffle just for this new S/SS addition. Neither NMCA or NMRA will ever schedule their events around anything the NHRA has going on...hard to argue with success. ;)

Atlanta should have better car counts...likely more IHRA cars since many can't run D2's Galot race and Atlanta is closer for many of the NHRA racers. I watched some of the Bradenton livestream coverage and while the myriad of classes would take some getting use to the ability to enter multiple classes sounds enticing.

I know a racer can enter both the Stk/SS Combo race as well as bracket 2 or Bk-1, but now I am curious if a combo racer can also enter Nostalgia Muscle Car as well ?
Triple enter ?

NMC is index based 1/4 mile with indexes .25 sec. apart. ( V-8 only 1955-1985 Vehicles)

You can enter the bracket races, but you would have to enter another separate vehicle for another class...per the general regs. I am torn between S/SS and NMC myself.
