A number of issues during Q1 of SST have put us about 90 minutes behind schedule. It's 12:30 and Stock is about 3/4 done. It's cold in the high 50s with a 8-10 headwind.

2:50 in the afternoon and it's raining. Radar indicates an hour of light rain. We are really behind now.

This is a heavy rain and we now have big puddles. This is gonna be a while to dry up once it stops. There is a good breeze but no sun to help. But it's only 47 degrees.

So ........ will it be just 1 time shot and THEN to eliminations???????

Looks like more rain is due here around 8:30 this evening

I have Q1 Stock sheets but can't get the photo to upload. 83 cars - last year there were 110.

Is the plan to finish on Sat, or try to get the whole race run on Friday??
I am planning to drive down from Michigan in the AM and would like to know before leaving at 8am Sat.
Don't want to drive 2.5 to 3 hours and find out everything was finished Friday PM.

The track drying is progressing well with the help of the strong wind that continues to blow out of the north and acts as a headwind. No news yet of any further schedule changes. I'll get the SS sheets and upload them when I can get enough signal to push them through into the World Wide Web.

It's interesting to note that there's lots of premium pit space available on the east side of the track that's paved. This is the area where COMP and top alcohol and top funny car normally park. It seems like they're just aren't as many cars here this year.
