In the interest of fair reporting I want to follow up on this. A little machine screw had fallen out of the handle on the PPP which certainly could have caused it to jam between 2nd and 3rd and that's on me for not catching that. We have a cheetah in there now, but I think the PPP is a well made shifter and would not hesitate to use one. Might put a drop of loctite on that screw,or just check it from time to time.

Thanks Everett - Where exactly is that screw located? I've got two of those shifters and will check them out.

I had a small machine screw fall out of my PPP shifter, causing it to hang up. Luckily it showed up here at home. I put red locktite on every screw in it. This was over 2 years ago. Right now, I can't remember which screw. I would be checking screws. No more loose screws here with Locktite.

I had the same problem as Ed and the other guys. And mine only has a few passes on it. I noticed something was binding and caught it before anything went wrong. A drop of locktite fixed mine too.
