Posting for a friend with a 2 barrel.......
He never tightens his carb bolts, and he has a hellacious throttle return spring, actually two of them.... |

So on a small cube motor, say a 305, with a Quadrajet; no benefit from anymore air? Also asking for a friend. Rick Thomason GTOMayhem |
Re: Adjustable PCV Valve
On my 301 4V I use a power brake check valve with the crankcase sealed. I like to TRY and keep some vacuum in it. I can't tell if it's worth anything but it doesn't seem to be hurting it.

Re: Adjustable PCV Valve
I don't think you can pull much vacuum in the crankcase with just a PCV ..Maybe with the check ball completely removed.. Would be hard to tune that set up ;-)
You need the header hoses for high speed suction. Of course, not legal in Stock. I just use the PCV to help keep more of that thin synthetic oil inside the motor. |

So no breather on the cover? Just the brake check valve on one of the valve covers? Or being a Pontiac, the valley pan? Rick Thomason GTOMayhem |
Re: Adjustable PCV Valve
Yup.
