I agree with slowing the flow down and let the radiator do its job, which is to radiate the heat out.

Could you elaborate? This does not seem to be most folks I know experience with products like this. Is Purple Ice different from other "water wetter" type products?

water wetter, purple ice and the like are snake oil. I've tried them many times since Redline's water wetter was first introduce to the market in the late 70s! They do nothing to reduce water temperature and today with real time data acquisition systems, it is easy to see and the results indisputable.

Finally got out in the shop my radiator measurements are 23 x 3. With the 12 an upper hose it actually held more heat in the engine. I know there are a lot of cars with the same setup and don’t have this problem. I’looked at the VP web site and they have a coolant called stay frosty.
