Do away with the whole ring spacer get up. Might need steel spacer in your diesel pistons but a unnecessary expense on a stocker. Roller lifters isn't going to make anyone notice a increase in there wealth either.

All of the Stockers became SSers and Stock Eliminator became "PURE" Stock.
Not really a fun time to have a Stocker.

That was 1972 when all that crap happened.

Any car produced anywhere in the world legal for stock (e.g. Lada, Alfa-Romeo, Trabant, Saab, FIAT). Any engine in any chassis, including Briggs & Stratton. Any fuel allowed, including diesel and JP-7. Competitors can enter up to 5 cars at a single event. Burnouts across the starting line. Passengers/pets allowed. Fiberglass/carbon fiber anywhere. Hood scoops allowed. And then, of course, rationalize all of this with lower cost, better safety, more fan interest, and "it's going to happen over time, anyway, so let's just do it now".

Its almost THERE already ! Has been since around 1985 !

Limit valve spring pressure. Maybe 120lbs seat, 300 lbs @ .500".

Moving a front mounted battery to the trunk is a no brainer, simply from a safety stand point. -Al

Best request yet ! I tried to get NHRA to set spring pressures at 150 lbs and 350 lbs open back in 1985. That's the same as a 426 street Hemi and a 440 6 pack if I remember right. It was like talking to a wall !

Well that's an interesting idea. Do you really need much more seat pressure than this? Seems kind of wasteful on a lot of friction based valvetrain motors to run so much spring pressure...
