Re: What tracks are open?

The TX governor had a news conference this afternoon and specifically mentioned "motorsports racing" as being opened at weeks end.
He also mentioned social distancing and wearing masks.
He also mentioned 5 counties in the state that would stay in lockdown for at least a couple of more weeks.
Those are 4 counties in the TX panhandle where there are several meat packing plants and El Paso county and I am not sure the reason for its delay.
I live in one of the panhandle counties and the total employee testing of one of the meat packing plants who employs large numbers of people was tested a little over a week ago.
Of the 3700 plus employees tested at the one plant 1500 plus tested positive with many testing positive which did not have any symptoms.
That is a little concerning for me at my age.
It looks like TX is back in business for racing soon.
Amarillo Dragway will just be a few weeks behind the remainder of the state.

I hope and pray that as tracks open across the country things go well. If events go well and more tracks open and events happen we can return to a somewhat normal life. I know the track owners will be happy as well as the many racers across this wonderful country. Good luck to all and stay safe.

Question about the electronic time slips..

Generally, text message or 'net?
In either case , it looks like more than a few will have to hang up those old flip phones.
Maybe on display in the garage or den , next to those 8 tracks and CB's ?
