Re: "Live From" Class Racer Nationals
The Kennedy family are regulars at most Division 1 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events showing their Pontiac pride. The Ken Racing fleet includes two Firebirds and a junior dragster to get their next generation driver ready for competition. Bill is a skilled driver and true sportsman, however he just might have to watch as someone else may be trying to jump in his driver's seat.

Re: "Live From" Class Racer Nationals
The father/son Ruff N Ready team of Pete and Shane Oakes from PA is always a tough draw and has proven they can go deep rounds in all 3 cars at just about every event they enter. Shane drives Stock and Super Stock cars and flies far under their indexes with Steve Ficacci power under the hood. Beautiful paint by Cody Phillips and a gorgeous Kenny Richard interior makes the cars really stand out when they are in the pits and the winners circle.

Re: "Live From" Class Racer Nationals
Hey guys,
The second annually Class Racer Nationals are in the books. In Super Stock it was Billy Ryan over Johnathan Allegrucci. Billy Ryan had a fantastic weekend wining both days in Super Stock. Billy also proposed to his girl friend Amy Saturday night... wow, what a night. The Stock final it was Don Pires vs Joe DeMarzo. The drivers decided to split the purse. Joe and Don were driving great, and it was a heads up final but they talked it over and decide to just split. I have to say that both drives are a class act, and personal friends of mine. We finished around 2pm, the day went supper smooth. My thoughts on this race... I have to say that the racers that stayed from the division race and the ones that just came to the Class Racer Nationals are what Class Racing is all about. I did not meet one racer that was not happy to be here. I was so humbled by the kind words and to see so many happy racers and crew. I don't understand why NHRA can't treat us like they we treat racers. It did not cost me one dime to be nice and show respect to all that entered the Class Racer Nationals. May staff treats everyone like a customer with smiles and respect. Why is it so hard for NHRA. I have to be honest, it was disappointing that more racers did not stay at the Class Racer Nationals. There were a 182 Stock and Super Stock racers here for the division race, but 57 racer went home. I do understand people have commitments and there is breakage, but Its hard to figure why some racers did not stay. I wanted to give racers a place where they are respected and where they are the stars. I hope more people make it next year, I promise you will have a great experience. We have learned a lot and and I know it will be even better next year. Jason Line, Dan Blabolil came a long way along with Robert Pond from D7. I could not thank these guys enough. Jason came to support the race and was just going to run stock. We only had 6 cars for Top Stock and Jason told me, "sure I'll jump in". He could get to minimum weight, but it did not stop him from being part of a super show. Dan the Cylinder guru that works with Jason came for the second time, and had a blast. I was also humble how Jason, Dan and Robert where so happy to be here. I talk to Jason for a long time and we tried to figure out why we can not get bigger car counts even when there is more money and prizes, we just came up blank. I would also like the thank Angelo DiTocco for jumping into Top Stock, it gave us a 8 car 3 round filed. To the Top Stock guys that could not make, I sure hope you try to make it next year, I know you will have good time. The 8 car filed put on a super show. Yes we will be back next year, and it will even be better. We have great staff and I guarantee you will be treated like stars! Thanks to everyone for making the Class Racer Nationals, you guys are the soul of Class Racing... and Thanks so much to the DiMino family, I not could ask for a better track to race at. Re: "Live From" Class Racer Nationals
Ken,
Congrats on a great event, I hope the racers realize the hard work and dedication you & your team put into these events. I can say my thoughts are exactly the way I felt years back after 2 attempts at a .90 Nationals at Numidia and one year with Lee & Brian and one year trying it on my own for Stock & SS big event there. You just can't figure out what to do, you guarantee payouts, give them specialty events, have a cool trophy, checks, etc and the most important part is treat them like they are a customer and wanted at your race. I was saying after seeing the numbers at the D1 race and knowing you were the week after, I said Ken's going to knock this out of the park this year. Just keep pushing and trying to make it better and better each year is all you can do and I know .90 cars are not the show but, I'm sure if you ever wanted to team up, just let me know. |
Re: "Live From" Class Racer Nationals
WOW! Anyone who missed this race missed a lot, 2 days of great racing, no snow mobiles only Stock & Super Stock! The Top Stock show was incredible to watch, talk about fast cars. Congratulations Barry (Crazy Cow) Parker. 9.92 131.51
This was my second year at this event and is on my schedule next year even if I miss a Divisional race. When I entered Friday to prep everyone was welcoming, I thought I died and went to the land of Oz.... Any questions I had, Answered! Any idea's for next, Welcomed! This was a class act from the go...... I want to thank Class Racer Forum (Ken Miele), MicroStrategy Tech Solutions, ATI, Gold RUSH Trailers, Weldon, IRC, Oakes Landscaping, Biondo, Dan Fletcher Trailer Sales, Motorsports Innovations and DRC Racing for supporting sportsman racing. In addition the staff who worked were the best. Dan, Tim, Deanna and Taylor Fletcher, Kaylin Guenther, Russ Wernes, Bill Holmes, Dave Ley and the Numidia staff I say thank you for a great show. I was a disappointed in the turn out because all I read is there is no races for sportsman, we get treated like poorly, there is no money to win, we only get 1 run, blah blah blah you missed a great race. Finally, As some of you know a great sportsman racer and my friend Larry Guest recently passed. Larry has been around racing a long time and I leave you with our favorite quote: "The Future is now!" |
