Since there is no tech, which is an NHRA issue, most of the rules are irrelevant.

If a 54 year old combination is getting hp we don’t have a hp problem we have an index problem across the board . There have been a lot of advancements in stock and ss since the last index adjustments. We cant just simply keep adding weight to combo’s.

My car already had a solid cam, adjustable shaft rockers, a thick rigid block, good valves, double springs, a good mani, more than enough carb CFM, a good front and rear suspension and good rods and crank. Most older cars shouldn't have to add weight, moving up a class is a good option as very few older cars would need to be higher than the AA/SA class.
