One new in Kern County but I think it?s 1/8?
Gathering info.

Gavin Newsom doesn't really understand California, does he?

The Teflon Don has already stated he does not care Motorsports.

Re: Sonoma Changes

I was just at Sonoma for an event . Apparently it is one of the only two they scheduled for the year . The other being the national event . The tower gone is definitely a different look at the track . The only issue is that I can see is they had to have one person in the staging lanes dedicated on the radio giving car numbers to whoever is located wherever they are inputting it into the computer. That should be interesting to see how that works not only giving car numbers but also dial-in. The event I was at was mostly heads-up racing so not so much an issue .
Also those familiar with Sonoma know of the bump in shut down in the left lane ! That has very much seemed to gotten worse as it tore the front section of our nose up on a car that has been down that track many times before in years past ! Very frustrating what?s going on in this state with racing facilities for sure .

Second floor media center where you usually get your passes is where the tower is now. North end of the garages.

July 4 bracket race. The Foggit Super Comp guys let us run with them. Thank you! . I visited the media center and yes you can see the lanes as well as most of the track however it’s not what announcers could see from behind like before. There will be a lot of monitor viewing.
We did notice a few bumps also. Confirmed with a few others too. Won’t be an issue for slower cars I’m sure.
Really weird! I kept looking for the Tower!

John. Jeff and I tested the Top Sportsman GTO.
I’m waiting to finish stocker transmission upgrades.
It will be ready for Sonoma however I probably won’t race it.
My own personal protest and I realize it means nothing to others but I’m not happy with Sonoma Raceway.
A centrally located California race track and zero Sportsman racing.

Mendota Raceway, in Mendota. 1/8 mile, old airport. Good news is the property is owned by the city and they seem to be giving 100% support.

Bad news, it?s best described as an outlaw track, although just recently obtained IHRA sanction. Google it; unless you?re the wannabe Street Outlaw / No Prep type, you will not be impressed.
