In others you don't have a clue. Did you even know what the Peak Opening Acceleration is on the cam that you are presently running?

I have been having that same discussion on another forum with people who actual design lobes and sell cams, and was looking to see what the people here take was on this.

Stan

So now along with having schooled Jere you are designing cal lobes. lol

1. Without question I schooled Jere on my combo, my headers and he acknowledged that in the initial conversation and confirmed it again when he reached out to me sometime later. :p

2. Not “now”rather for over 2 decades :p I’ve been specing the cams for my engines as well a few friends and competitors.

3. This thread ain’t about engine assembly, cam design nor headers’

I see now that you have been called on it the "designing cams" is gone. :D

Again what is the peak cam acceleration on your present cam?

Have you ever looked at and understood what a Cam Dr or Cam Pro Plus report shows?

I see you have edited your post since I responded to it.

The thread is about Push Rods. I don't know had you talk about Push Rods without talking about opening and closing spring pressure and cam lobe design is somewhat a factor in what these pressures need to be.

Hopefully the OP got what he needed.

Plus, Steward Performance got some good publicity from the thread.

Edit, Stan, I believe my ramp rate is considered "high" at 5.00 but not "very high" or "extreme". 249/250@ .050 Some of us know what you are talking about and appreciate your wisdom (and flow spec's!!)
