The sun was in a bad spot for taking pictures. I tried the other side for one round, but there wasn't that much room with the boom over there. I did take the final round shots from there though because the sun was so low and they were using the boom so there was more room.

Here are two pictures of the Pomona strip, one taken at the 1982 Winternationals and the other taken Wed Feb 10 2010 in about the same position. The 1982 pictures is of the class run-off between Kip Martin and Mike Williams for the SS/OA trophy. Picture taken by Bob Bayles. I would also like to thank Doug Gibson for loaning his car to me for this years Winternationals.

What would have been cool is if they would have hung the same old school banner above the starting line. I just like the nostalgia look.

I assume you can see the other pictures just fine. Are you accessing the site from work or school or at home? The site I'm using to host the pictures is located in Russia. Your ISP or firewall may be blocking the site.
