Thanks Toby, I did a little better job on this one. The weather was about 3or4 slower then this morning. It was still tough to dial and we still had a head win.

We are out 2nd tomorrow.

Dam Jason, you could have let me put my helmet on. I do not need to look at the face, wow does he need a shave. I was having a great week until I had to look at that dudes face. You better hide, because I'm going to hunt you down.

Ken how do you take pics like this one? I've been trying to learn how to photograph myself from a long distance while I'm strapped in the car and pulling away too LOL!!!!:p:D

Seriously I love the pics. Please keep up the excellent work!!! You've got all the drag racing press beat by a mile with your field reports.

That's one NICE BADASS FORD !!!!!! Always admire it.

Nice blinders !......are you using a brake pedal button with a 2-step?

Blocking the top 2 bulbs and leaving off the bottom with the 2 step seems to be more popular than old school footbraking with no blinder....

I was always an old school footbraker......

Radar doesn't show any rain as of now. The only thing I can figure is NHRA is going to screw the sportsman again to get the Pro's run before the rain starts.

Super stock is now in the lanes and there is no rain. Very overcast though.

Rain still has to clear the mountains to reach Charlotte. Typically our rain comes from the south.

Sorry everyone, when I lost 4th round I packed up and headed home. I figured I would stop after a 100 miles fuel up and give a run down on the day. You all know by now it has be postponed until tomorrow.

Well as you can see I never stopped, I'm about 2 hours from home. I stopped to eat, so I thought it would be a good time to give the final recap of the race.

It was another cold morning when we ran 4th round. It was 10:30 and the temp was 56, the bar was 29.30 and the humid was 67, we had a cross head wind about 5 to 10 mph. I had a tough time dialing like many others. The first run down the track on Thursday was fast, and I thought it would have been similar except for the head wind. I still missed my dial buy 3 hundreds, I think Joe also missed by 2 hundreds, I could be wrong though. Anyway he drilled me on the tree and the rest was history.

Bill Hawk has been doing a good job and it would be nice to see him win. I think it will be tough though, Anthony Bertozzi is one tough racer and he has him next. If Anthony wins the next round in stk and ss he will have a by into the final for both. Pete Biondo is still in and driving well, and everyone knows how tough he is.

I had a great time, this is a awesome track that I highly recommend. The bite was killer even with the temp at 56. A cold track, but it did not matter. The prep work for the sportsman was great.

Below is my last picture, its my favorite meal, its a meal and a snack all in one.

Rich, I use a two step button on the break pedal, and as you can see by my lights, I need a little more work on using a blocker. The only thing it has done for me, it stops me from red lighting.

Kenny -- Nice job this weekend -- hold your head up high and go on to the next race .As for Bill -- he's been driving better and stands a chance to move on -- he puts his pants on the same way as Anthony so .............As for your favorite meal -- lets just say its not the meal of champions ! ! ! Tasty though ...

NOT redlighting is a good thing especailly with a fast car like your Mustang......and I can see how the blinder deal would do that for most anyone that tried it. 4 rounds is a nice race in my book......I am always happy if I get to the payout round.......thanks for the reply and the race reports....it's fun to read them and see the pictures.....

Ken,

Sorry you lost today, but I'm pulling for Bill Hawk also. Nice guy. I'll get your pictures to you this week. Could you send me your email so I can send them direct to you.

I will also post some from Thursday/Friday some time this week.

So Ken, I'm wondering, what exactly were you saying to your wife after I snapped your picture in the lanes? You obviously didn't know it was me (we've never met before), but I saw you laughing and saying something to her afterward. Inquiring minds want to know!

As for the picture itself, I took one of your car too, but I like different pictures. Plus, I thought everyone should see the face of the guy bringing them all the great reports. :)

Thanks for all the updates. I know it can be time consuming, and as soon as you start reporting, so do the questions, and it becomes even more of a time sink!

Oh, sorry to hear you lost too (I thought it would have been only fitting if the roving reported had won the race).

Hope to actually get a chance to talk to you sometime in the future!

Re: Live from the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals

Jason,

That's not my wife, that pretty lady is Donna Fletcher, Dan's wife. Man am I in trouble now, your camera is causing me a lot of trouble.

All kidding aside, Donna was wishing me luck. I'm very good friends with the Fletcher family.

I am not a big fan of my picture being taken. I was wonder who you were, If I had any idea this was going to be on Class Racer I would have had my helmet on asap. I will have to return the favor some day.

The reports are timing consuming at times, but it is fun to do the updates.

No worries about losing, I had blast. The only thing that would have made this race perfect, if it was 10 degrees warmer.

Feel free to come up and talk to me anytime, but this time I will have the camera:)

Re: Live from the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals

Oh boy...Now my camera is going to get ME in trouble! Dan literally lives 5 minutes from me, so as you can imagine I've known Dan for quite some time. Though admittedly I don't know Donna THAT well, I've certainly met her enough times that I should have recognized her.

So, let's just say that being the handsome fellow that you are, I just assumed the hottie was with you (way to recover Jason)! :D

I just want to say congrats to Billy Hawk for making it as far as he did. I was so glad to be a part of it this weekend and had a blast. You had a good run Billy.:)
