Top Dragster JEGS Shootout, take two, Saturday at NHRA Lucas Oil Spring Spectacle of Speed
The Top Dragster JEGS SHOOTOUT was originally scheduled to run as part of last year’s JEGS Northern SPORTSnationals in Columbus, Ohio but unfortunately fell victim to rain at the event. Since the event was the last of the year in the Spitzer Race Cars Top Dragster Series it was rescheduled for Saturday, April 24 and moved to O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Spring Spectacle of Speed.

All three forecasts are not happy ones...getting worse by the minute, but maybe we'll be lucky and some of that...stuff, will be overnight. Sure it will......

Mark, please be sure to get the good side...............and a close-up of the paddle tire that I'll be sporting this weekend..........lol lol Was it Goodyear that made the "Rain Tire" ?

Any chance they will call this one? I normally don't care too much about the weather report, but this one looks bad. Even if they miss it by a little, it will still be bad. It would be good if they just called it!

Or planning on camping and watching it rain. LOL I tried the division office and they must be on the way to indy (or there already). This is a tough call. If it was even 50% I wouldn't even worry about it, but 70%. Hmmmmm

Well, staying home. Guess I'll have to wait for attending my first NHRA event. Weather and other things just not cooperating. If race comes off, to all......good luck and be safe. Maybe Norwalk in May.

I'm in the middle of the eastside on the aisle like always at the spring race. My vote is for the power squeegee!!!!

Just called the weekend and rescheduled it for the weekend after Norwalk. Anybody know how many times in the last ten years this race has not been postponed due to rain? Just curious?? You would think they would start to look at changing the schedule around. Although I don't think Bowling Green would have worked out any better this weekend, I think it would usually be a safer bet. Glad I stayed home!

If they would run doubble grade and competition points for the SMP event think how the car counts would be!!

....................instead of rescheduling Indy................advantage racers and NHRA!

Closed field sucks. Glad I didn't go and set through the rain but would have like to went in May. Oh well chance you take.

Hey lucky dog, I think the martin div is May 28th weekend. Montgomery Ala is May 21st. Just FYI

Lazrcng- That would be great for those racers that were planning to attend the race at SMP or those that live close by. But for those that are 9+ hours away and weren't planning to attend that race it would SUCK!
