For me it's a three way tie! Peter Biondo, Anthony Bertozzi and Dan Fletcher's 69 Camaros! All are sneaky fast with Tilburg power!!! And they do nice wheelstands too!!

Hi Jim, is that George who used to work with Ben Morgan, if so we spoke quite a few times back in the 90s when he was getting together info on the 383/343, Valve to piston clearance being main topic. That is a beautiful car, Paul.

I would pay to watch John Duzac and Jerry McNeish go two out of three with those D/S buzzsaw motors. Nothing sounds like those 302 motors in full song. Very impressed with what they are sqeezing out of these motors in ' stock '----- Nothing like a stick !!!!! --finespline--

Mike Jeffrey's V/SA Slant powered Diplomat. I had a chance to buy the car a year before he did. I thought the thing would never run index, let alone hold the national record.

Re: Most Impressive car in Stock Elim.

Several have mentioned some very impressive stock eliminator cars, but the most impressive car is any new car to NHRA dragracing that is being campaigned by a first time drag racer. It is the new blood that will bring a car into this environment without worrying how fast or underfactored the Mustangs, Drag Packs, etc.....may be.

They just want to race and carry on a sport that we all enjoy and have made us much richer in friends and far poorer in savings.

Duane, the post is about great impressive cars, not drivers. Those guys could race go karts and still win.

Dave LeBrun is a class act! Don't ever confuse that with whatever you may may be thinking! I'm sure everyone in D1 will def agree with my statement! What a great pioneer Dave has been for the sport out here in the east coast! and everywhere across the country!

I agree...It was quite an article though I was amazed he would publish those speed secrets out in the open way back then. I remember when his 427 was going 10.80's and I was amazed...That was at us national in 1987. My father won class that year in C/SA. It was a time when stock was well....stock...;)

Kuntz & Buchanan's cars from 1975-1987. Always fast, always with the S.E. factor behind the wheel to contend with.

427/425 HP. Remember the A/S class was 7.5 back in the stone age and they weighed cars WITHOUT the driver in the cars.

I went to Phoenix for the first time in 2005 and was blown away by Kevin Borgstrum's B/SA Yenko Chevelle. Every pass was on the rear bumper,,we thought he hurt it once and went back into the pits to check it out and he said it was okay. You could've fooled us.That car was deffinately impressive!
Sorry Kevin if I spelled it incorrectly.

I think if we are gonna be honest with ourselves Sorenesen's Camaro is the fastest. But Wade Owens, Bertozzi and DeFrank have some fast pieces. Not to forget Gary Richard the Burton Boys and Carson Pedigo.
