Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
We have an updated entry list up on the website. All people on that list are entered into the drawing our special prizes. We have decided that we will have the drawing for these prizes at the bar at Atco on Friday night at the National Open. We hope to have it around 8:30 but if the day is shortened by weather we will probably have it earlier. We will keep you posted.
As an added bonus we will be giving away a free entry to all entrants who have their entry into us by Friday at the time of the drawing. For those of you who are coming to Atco and haven't entered yet, Bring your entry and get it to Lee or myself and you may have an oppurtunity at 10K for free. Where can you get a deal like that. This is going to be a great event. Get involved. www.sportsmanpromotions.net |

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Thanks to Bob Mullaney... Bob is giving $100 to the racer that goes the farthest in eliminations that has a dial slower than 13.00. I watched Bob win many races in the dollar nova running in the 15.00 second rage.
See you in 3 weeks at the Combo in the Hills Lee Zane Brian Van Poppel www.sportsmanpromotions.net |
Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Well we are coming up on 2 weeks away from the race and after talking to many people at the national open at Atco and the national event at Charlotte many people are planning to pay at the gate. This is totally understandable, especially with the instability of the economy, weather, etc. However it would make it a lot easier on Lee and myself if we had a rough idea on what the car count is going to be. We want to be able to tell the track how many cars we are expecting. We want to be all parked in the same area and want to know how much area we need. If anyone is planning on coming and entering at the gate if you could please reply either on here, our email, website, or give us a call. We won't hold anyone to it and we know that many things may affect your decision but if you do plan on attending and you let us know it will make it easier for us to make it a more enjoyable race for everyone. Once again thanks everyone for their interest in this event. It is going to be outstanding.

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Brian & Lee, do you know if VP fuels will be sold at the track for Friday and Saturday?
|
Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Joe,
Numidia only has Sunoco at the pumps. I know they were carrying some VP last season, but I believe it was Q16. You could call the track or office to find out. 570-799-5090 (Track). 570-245-6246 (Office). Ryan |
Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Well a week from tomorrow people will begin to show up at Numidia Dragway to run the Inaugural "Combo in the Hill's". Those of you that pre-entered will just give your name and car number and will be escorted to a pit spot. If you have a crew member there is a small, I believe $7 fee for them. We ask for one favor of those who are paying at the gate. If at all possible, if you could bring the exact change for your entry. That would make our lives so much easier. I am sure that you can imagine trying to give everyone $25 back from $300 could be tough in the change department. Or if you have $20's and 5's that would be great but if everyone comes in and gives 3 $100 bills that could get a little interesting. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email us and we will see if we can answer them for you. Once again, we want to thank all the racers and sponsors for all the support that they have given us throughout the last few months. This is quite a time consuming project but we have really enjoyed it and hope to give you a racing experience that you will always remember. Thanks again.

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Does anyone coming to the race have any VP C-12 they could sell? I have a friend looking for 5 gallons.

I'm posting this message for Numidia Dragway. Bob DiMino has ordered VP C-11 and C-12 for the event. It will be available in limited quantities. I do not know how much Bob ordered. I would call the track or office if anyone is interested in purchasing any fuel.

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Looking forward to going to Numidia friday, should be a good race and a good time.
I just talked with the Dimino's and the track will have plenty of C11 and C12. They ordered a few drums for us super stock and stock guys so I think it would be cool if we support the track and get it from them. Peter www.BracketRaces.com |

You are right. This is going to be a great race and we really owe that to the Dimino family. Lee and myself could not have done this without them. They have just been exceptional. They "ARE" sportsman racers and they know about what we go through just to get to a race and what we should expect when we get there. They have gone above and beyond. Everything that we have asked of them they have agreed to. Lee and myself are living a dream of putting on a big money race for the Sportsman racer and the Dimino family has been supportive the entire way. When we chose Numidia, we knew that we were going to get a great facility but we didn't have any idea that we were going to get a great family as well. Please support them for all that they have done for us. If you see them, tell them Thank You, they deserve it. Brian Van Poppel Lee Zane www.sportsmanpromotions.net |
Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
I can bring VP fuel, C12 at $12.50 a gallon, or you can buy at the track. Just let me know. I am not going to be at the track untill Sat. morning.

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
I should be rolling into the track about 3:00 pm, can't wait to say hi to everyone. I've not looked forward to a race this much in a long time! This will be fun for all involved, be sure to see me in the tower, Lee Zane, Dave Ley and Michael Beard are all going to get mike time with me and share their knowledge, stories etc. throughout the weekend. The racing will be great, no question about it. A HUGE thanks to Brian VanPoppel, Lee Zane and the whole Dimino family and crew for making this happen. Let the fun begin!

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
What a great race. I really want to thank Lee and Brian for stepping up and paying the whole purse, even though they were short on cars. Says a bunch about those guys and how passionate they are about making this race work this year and for future events.
Also a huge thank you to Joe Lisa for loaning me his 86 Camaro to use. Wish I could have made us some money bud... |
