Sun is on the way

I am about 35 miles west of the track and the sun is out and no clouds

But it will be very cold for So Cal (Toby) - probably only 50 - LMAO

The weather is going west to east so they will race today

Will be mostly Pros but should get in some Sportsman

Didn't you purchase that in late '96?
Linda and met in the Final of the '96 MOPAR Pacific Nationals at the old Vegas track. I still have the winner trophy on the mantle.

If I remember correctly, it was originally run as a '70 Challenger T/A with a 6-pack. Whoever had it when they converted it to a '71 with a TQ found that it was faster in that configuration.

The updated schedule on DRC calls for one round of pro's and alcohol and that's it for today.

How many Q runs do they have to get in to use runs and not points to set the field for the pros. What I want to know is did Mike Edwards just DNQ?

Let's see, the track was there in the 50's and the city built around them hm.......same thing happened to OCIR and Irwindale.

I'm sorry, you built a subdivision around a dragstrip that was there earlier, pound sand! We where here first!

I'm sorry to jump in and get on my soap box however, I have a issue with this. This is the sole reason we are losing places to race, the developers move in and came the land is worth so much more......

We were just talking of building another car (or, buying - must have a third pedal) and not on your life.

I am so ready to pull out of SoCal I cannot see straight.

"We were here first".

One time I was meeting with the neighbors about limiting the hours at our drag strip and the number of events featuring jet cars, etc. I used the old "we were here first" analogy and was not so politely reminded that the Indians were here first and look what happened to them. When the government is your opponent,... you WILL lose.
