I put a very poor video on Facebook of both runs.

It has been another beautiful day here in Orlando! Lots of people headed up to Gainesville. The gates are going to be open from 5 til midnight tonight. We are going over to visit our friends in Seminole tomorrow and will probably drive up on Wed. It is supposed to rain on Tues then turn colder on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, then 70s on Saturday and Sunday.

here in Bean town. last 30 days.. 85 in. of snow..if any one thinks that "climate change is the reason...there just looking to make money from the government..i'm rethinking this "i'll wait till next year" winter racing...winter has been exhausting... I fell bad

I don't know how to react to that much snow and that cold... Even though I was raised in Virginia and in 1960 it snowed every Tuesday and by the end of the month 72" had fallen.... I was only 10 and it was WAY over my head... But so are a lot of other things!!!

It's not just the Liberals anymore John. The Brainwashing party of the public school system is very hard at work. Just recently I roomed with a family in Ventura California and was shocked by the propaganda their kids brought home. Hey guys, Anybody reading this in Gainesville yet? We are still in Orlando, but all ready to pull out and head to Gainesville first thing in the morning. It looks like on the radar that Gainesville is getting rain now. It is supposed to start here around 5. We are pulled out onto the road so we don't have to worry about getting stuck trying to get out in the morning. Does anybody know when they are going to start parking us? The schedule looks like not until Thurs. Are there lots of rigs there yet? It is pretty empty here.


Sorry I haven't been posting, but we drove over to Seminole yesterday to visit with our friends from college that were up here watching on Sat. The traffic was autrocias getting down there. I got out of the car and told Dan that I don't see why anybody lives in Florida and fights that traffic all the time. Then we walked out in his back yard and down to the water and then I could see why. Here are a couple of pictures out in his yard:

Well we got up and left Orlando about 9 this morning. Then we stopped at a rest area to wait for the McMahans, Marshalls, and Don Himes to go and dump and fill with water so we could all drive up together. After an hour's wait, we were just about to go on and Mike pulled up. He had an antifreeze leak and wanted Larry to check it out. Evidently the bottom of the filter had rusted out on his Bluebird. So Larry ended up under his motorhome pulling the old one :

So now Pam and Barbara have gone to get a new filter. And Larry has to have another shower before we get on down the road! And we lost Don! He didn't stop at the rest area so I guess he will beat us there by a couple of hours!

I wanted to thank Larry & Patsy for hanging around to make sure we got back on the road. It took a long ratchet and a cheater bar and the big guy to break that filter loose. Also thanks to Jim & Pam for taking Barbara to the parts store twice to get a new filter. Our first three race back have certainly been an adventure.

We got here about 5 yesterday and got parked. We went to Cedar River Seafood for a great dinner compliments of Mike and Barbara McMahan. Thanks, guys, it was great.


Today the parking has gone well it seems. The place is really filling up. We are behind the last grandstand, so come on down to visit. It got down to about 30 last night and it's pretty cold if you are standing where the wind hits you today. It is suppose to get to 24 tonight, then keep warming up to 80 by Sunday! Tech and test and tune is happening today. It doesn't seem to be very many cars testing.

The schedule doesn't say anything about tech Saturday morning but assume they will have it, does anyone know if there will 2 time shots Saturday? Kind of thinking I might run down tomorrow afternoon, I'm needing my fix.

The VP 18 wheeler is at a BP station at 225 and 53rd. Very close to the track. He was parked in front of the track but nhra called the cops. If you're at the track and need VP fuel, call this number and they will give more information: 954-565-7670.

Baby, it's COLD outside!! It got somewhere in the 20s last night! It is now 10:45 and people are just beginning to stir outside. It is a bright sunny day with temps going up to 57 or so.


We had a nice evening last night. A few drinks and wine and cheese with Jim Bailey, Jeff and Carolyn Teuton. Then we went over to Country Dog's and had some Ky farm raised deer stew. Boy was it good. Thanks Jimmy and Bear!!


I haven't been out yet to look at the schedule but I think we only get 1 run today beginning at noon.

43 stockers made the only run for today. The runs did not show up much better than Orlando and some were slower. We get 2 more runs tomorrow and run 1st round on Sunday. Super stock does not run until almost the last thing this afternoon.
