Rumor on Competition Plus says they are going to run the Super cars four wide during time trials. Has that been confirmed yet? Sure would speed up the program.

Does anyone there know which lanes SS/S will start in tomorrow morning? Hoping the rain will hold off till about 3:30. Running the Super classes 4 wide, hopefully won't be a cluster #$#%.

It might speed up each session, but assuming it doesn't rain, they are being given four time trials instead of two...

Mr Derby City the nice thing about NHRA racing is your not required to watch. If you don't care for the super class cars don't watch us. ,I don't care to watch the s/ss cars run 1000-1100 feet and shutoff but I don't feel the need to make comments about how they choose to race I just don't watch and mind my own business.

Butch, I was told that stock and super stock would run in lanes 1 and 2. I have some pics from tonight but they are still uploading. Internet must have slowed way down. Didn't have any problems earlier today.

Good for you, but this is the Stock / Superstock section of the forum. In my opinion Drag Racing is a contest between 2 cars, not 4. BTW, I don't care for 1000 foot racing either.We agree on something....Yippee. ,!!

Jeff Hairrington lost an engine in his motorhome 60 miles from the track. Michael Brand to the rescue. Michael picked up the family, dog included, trailer and contents of the motorhome and got them here in time for tech. Jeff and family are camping at the track.


Does anyone have a sweet deal on a new 8.1 GM engine for Jeff?

It has stopped raining at the big end of the track. They have been vaccumming for a while. It looks like we might have a little window to get in just a little of racing and then it looks like there could be lots again this afternoon. There have not been any announcements on the radio of any changes yet.


We had a very nice dinner last night hosted by Wendy Tysinger and her Co. Tysinger Productions ( I think). This is Joe and Alice's daughter. Here are a few pics from last night:

Two on the right are Renee and Gary Bingham - Renee will be on the clocks this weekend and the two of them are the heart of Godspeed Ministries - the IHRA and PDRA RFC equivalent. Good people. Gary was IHRA Top Sportsman champion a few times, runs Top Dragster now whenever he can fit it into his schedule, also does tech and pit steward and race director stuff for PDRA.

We just ran probably our only qualifying run for today! We were the fastest A/SA car, so we should get the trophy. 55 cars went down. Super stock running now.

Before anyone makes a comment about this being the Stk/SS, please understand this a part of history and I think it worthy for all racers and fans to see. I talked to a few Super Comp drivers about the 4 wide experience. Many were concerned and still are, but some did say with a little smile, it was kind of cool. Personally I thought it was very cool to watch and for the most part it went well.

Super Stock is just finishing up, I don't know what the plan is for the rest of the day. Its cloudy and it could rain anytime.

How about running Class 4 wide maybe that will get some horsepower inline faster. I don't think you could get 4 people to agree to the 1000ft race.

I timed in to the all access to watch stock and watched the Super Comp time trial and thought it was pretty cool. I was also really impressed with the reaction times these guys throwed down, I thought it may be a little confusing to some of them but to their credit it didn't seem to affect hardly none of them.

Well after going up and about 6 cars running for the 2nd qualifier and then being sent back because of rain, ;then going back up to finish up, we are still the fastest A/SA. And we made our fastest run ever. 9.97 @ 131.


They are running Top Sportsmen now and may get in the rest of the show today!

Good morning all, its a bright sunny day, and no chance of rain. Its 60 now, going up to the mid 70's. I assume the schedule will be the same, so stock will be first out for round one at 8:30.

Stock is done with first round, and Super Stock just finished up their last qualifying shot. It was a few hundreds quicker this morning. Stock should be out after Top Sportsman if all goes well, alcohol is running now.

Well, we had one of those red lights! Since there were so many, I thought maybe the sun shining on the tree might have been the reason, but my driver said that wasn't the case for him! Just driver error!

We are staying here all weekend and then going to Indy for the divisional next week so I will try to get some more pictures!

Thanks so much Butch. Here is Super Stock round one in the lanes. Stock is done with round two and will not run again until the pros are done, same with all sportsmen classes. I will have time for more photos of the others classes since I lost second round. I will be back later tonight.
