Afternoon kids - here is the dope so far - it stopped raining about an hour ago and they started sweeping the track but now at 1:00 its dripping again and everything is on hold .They are trying hard to get round one of Stock started but there is more rain in this afternoons future .

Larry and Patsy congrats on the class win!

Now as far as the other stuff,
Technical or mechanical infraction I think 3-6 month suspension of ability to race NHRA

Willfully driving by scales in 3rd or 4th rd of class cause you **** up, well I’d say HP hit stands, car obviously was legal and eliminated folks along the way. Driver also gets 3-6 mo suspension.

Just my 2 cents

I think Phillips should have to take the run and except the horsepower he had legal fuel in the car the previous round he had legal weight in the car and it’s not hard at all to slip something funny by the officials when they’re not looking , other people in the past have made the same mistake and excepted the consequences .

I think the run should count, HP should be given, his win be disqualified and the appropriate punishment be given for the offense.

Congrats Larry, I didn't give you anything you earned it. You and the car were ready and put up a great number. My car was ready but the driver just wasn't as good as yours. BP

MJ, I have not heard exact. But I assume since he went 9.99 on a 11.25 that he bypassed the scales and fuel check trying to get the run thrown out. That 1.25 under is gonna hurt Monday. Once again, I haven't talked to anyone to confirm that.

Doesn't Phillips Corvette run the same motor that comes in the the Camaro, but the Camaro is NHRA rated at 382 HP, whereas the Corvette is rated at 350 HP by NHRA? They have exactly the same specs.

Cody was DQ for the throttle body. There will be no HP added to his combination. It was mine shaft no hit no foul. My 2 cents he knew he was cheating. Did he have that TB when we ran Indy last year? For class final. Who knows. Every racer can get bounced for something but to IMO cheating is wrong. Should he get time off yes. Summers also knew IMO. Anyone want to take a shot at me go ahead I have been around a long time. My 2 cents

Bobby, the race was MINESHAFT but,....that does not PROTECT runs of 1.20 and under....REGARDS ...MJ

Just for the record to clear up some thing for people on here.... I am not dodging being disqualified, I have not appealed a suspension, I carried myself very well and was very much ready for tear down and started to do so. Did I screw up? Absolutely. Do I owe some an apology? Absolutely. At the end of the day I have a handful mad at me for screwing up and the world calling me a cheater when in fact none of you were at the tech trailer when this happened. For all the ones saying my fuel got tossed... you’re wrong. It passed just fine. My weight? Was over weight..... if anyone would like to understand the whole story and hear it from the horses mouth then please feel free to stop by my trailer and have a conversation before running to your keyboard to bash my integrity. And Bobby yes it’s the same throttle body I had when I ran you in Indy. If you or anyone would like to hear the whole story feel free to contact me and I’ll be glad to clear the air. Other than that I hope anyone who knows me personally knows my character is nothing but respectful and truthful. I told tech lastnight I understood why they see it deemed unfit for competition and it won’t happen again. I also said if a suspension is coming then please bring it and any other disciplinary actions necessary as I was in the wrong. You will never hear me say I am in the right if I’m deemed in the wrong. I am a man of my word and will continue to work towards making my rides as bad as they can be.

Do we really know "he knew he was cheating"? Isn't what we all do is push the rules to the very edge of the boundaries? My God people it only takes a couple thousandths one way or the other to be cheating or legal. Pretty much everyone that went down that track yesterday especially if it was more than a second under run was pushing the limits. If you sent a set of heads off to someone and give them a check for 10k doesn't mean your not cheating just because they will pass tech! Think about it for a moment......

Gump. I haven’t tried to run fast. I or my team other then Indy do not run at 100%. Not even close. Don’t have enough runs on my car. Marion is trying to sell his car and someone from the east coast is running really fast.I have kept my average down at all races. Give or take. Yes I got it hit in Vegas 2019. It came from no where. I took the heat. Not trying to kill the class but if I wanted to I could and move on. Not trying too

I need to clean the air. If you tried to cheat and got caught you you need time off. A lot of S*** happens and you go dowm. Just saying. IMO I don’t think you was cheating. I will call you tomorrow.

We race in a little over an hour and it is 44 degrees with a wind chill of 39! Going up to 66 today. But at least the sun is shining!! Juniors begin at 9 with Stock and super stock following. There is going to be a full day of racing! Hopefully no oildowns or crashes to hold things up!!

We had another great meal at Cedar River last night. If you haven’t tried it yet, it is a must do on your list!

What is the definition and criteria for a "shinny" carburetor?
In the past I have purchased and installed for friends rebuilt carburetors that look better than new.

When I had a Stocker in the past I had a Q-Jet spot checked and was told it was to shiny at the base......measured fine but was to shiny...

Was not DQ'ed but told don't bring it back at the next race...

It was an arbitrary call.....and I did not argue it....did what was asked...

20+ years ago....

Switch class or car and no personal index hit. So in stock, go up or down a class and personal index would go away. In comp, change intake from 2 carbs to 1 carb and personal index goes away. Part that also bothers me is slower car can be higher on qualifying ladder because they use personal index here also.

You want to keep them from cheating.....Take away Grade points for 2 years, so no national events.., and no cannot set run class for 2 years based on violation
