Mikes car is a '71 but on sheet as a 1970. Clearly 383 as Kens video shows a big block engine. I thought a typo originally on NHRA's part but Mike clearly states its a '70 on NHRA TV when getting best appearing award.

If it's as I think, '71 body and '70 spec'd engine, should've been in GT class. Hope I'm wrong....

Beautiful car and paint, but sad seeing this happen at Indy of all places!!

The car is a real 71 with the correct carb. The engine is correct.

How many alternates made the call for the first round of Stock Eliminator?
The first round is not posted on DRC.
I know there were three in Super Stock.

Also, what happened with Technical Inspection, "The Barn" at this year's race?

Hey guys, I see Stock is done with round 3 and they get 3 more along with Super Stock today. Super Stock Class photos... round one as they get ready to roll into the burnout box.

I'm aware the car is a 71.

I just rewatched the video of the presentation and I didn't hear myself call it a 70. If I did I made a mistake.

The car is correct for SS/IA

An excellent race, and overall very well run. Tons of fun had by all.


My only complaint is how stock was treated yesterday morning in the lanes. A bunch of cars pulled into the lanes to be paired in plenty of time. There was still dew on most of the cars windows. It was 07:45-ish. And one of the nhra ladies in the lanes was going ballistic to pull the cars up. I mean yelling and screaming “if you want to race pull these bleeping cars up now or we will send you home”.
I was very surprised by this. It’s not like it was 8:20 and no one moving yet. It wasn’t even 08:00 yet. I get that some folks always want to lay behind. But this was ridiculous. It wasn’t even the scheduled start time and dew was everywhere.
