Even with the loss of her "Only Fans" sponsor, I would think she could still afford to hit a couple of Divisional races.

She has already gotten OF more coverage from being banned than she otherwise would have at all the races she entered. They should go ahead and honor the sponsorship.

Just look at car numbers out here. Can you say decline? It?s possible this could result in far more than four cars not entered...

Looks like a double standard to me.. I don't know anything about Only Fans,I guess the concept was to be about anything someone could be a fan of.. I didn't and don't know that I thought it was all "adult' content,from what I understand it is dominated,(no pun intended)
by adult content.
My opinion... going back and involving the goverment. If you ban tobacco advertising,then you should ban alcohol advertising,then it snowballs from there,then Mc Donalds. anything harmful...
my opinion if it's a legal business,legal activity, then they should be allowed to advertise. It is our responsibility to have the discernment to know something is harmful,moral etc. and also our responsibility to teach our children or grandchildren right from wrong.
only restriction I think should be the advertising images on the car/hauler should be appropriate for all ages

I came across an interesting post in the r/NHRA sub on Reddit this morning:



Do not, under any circumstances, fall victim to the victim card being played by Summer Richardson right now. She?s claiming that NHRA ?suddenly and without warning? banned her primary sponsor, OnlyFans. This is not true.

Two years ago while she was renting a seat in a Randy Meyer A/FD, she attempted to fly the OF colors and logo stating she was an ?OnlyFans Athlete.? NHRA advised the Meyer team to remove the logo from the car and to not reapply it or else they would be barred from competition. The team took heed and removed all OF branding. Richardson was able to drive the car for part of her contracted season.

It should be noted that her seat rental contract was voided and refunded after nearly wadding up the dragster on more than one occasion.

NHRA has repeatedly told her that the OF branding would not be allowed at NHRA national or divisional events.

When she took to social media to promote the sponsorship, NHRA took notice and returned her license renewal with a letter stating that her competition proceeded had been revoked for a period of three years.

She?s lying.

Why does all the talent that already exists in NHRA class racing get overlooked in favor of some well spoken person? It makes me so mad. I think this is the major point of the original post. It is interesting in how today with social media and cell phones it's not about talent it's about popularity, and with the popularity comes the money. I sit and wonder how the whole thing works, how people make money from FB, Tiktok and fake currency. Then I realize I'm old and really don't give a damn and go back to working on my own junk.

Eman, thank you for highlighting the original point of this thread. Selling porn to go racing (whether it's of yourself or of a company that facilitates its distribution) is gross but besides the point. I'm ready for talent to be favored over looks and followers. Give me pro drivers I can like and respect.

I remember one year at Indy while Winston was still involved that they handed out tshirts to all the pro teams - don't remember their exact text but it was pretty much protesting the ban that RJ Reynolds saw coming. There was actually a space in the program where all those wearing them were massed on the starting line.

The Budweiser rep of the time was near frantic. They asked all teams to NOT appear as they were really worried about being the next target and didn't want their teams to walk into the bullseye.

Like anything that involves anything sexual the discussion seems to take the wrong turn. People look at the finger and never see the moon.
The discussion about talent to be favored over looks and likes is a great discussion. Applies to racing and many other things like music. Unfortunately unlike years back today it's ALL about money and what you'll do to get it. It always took money but passion and talent was a bigger part of the equation.

It is NOT about drag racing. If there is an angle to exploit or a way to get above the rest, outsell, THAT is what is important, the product? Who cares as long as I make money.

And THAT is why I never officially opened a micro. I love making liquor, I don't like yaking to braindead people in farmers markets and fighting with government regulations to be politically correct, etc.

EDIT: I love drag racing, I don't love marketing so I won't be having various decals all over my car.

The Bo deal? He ran some of the Ihra Top Stock and also NHRA GT SS class's. He had Porn studios. They made the actual films, totally legal, He and his wife owned it. In the Carolinas I think. Joey Wilkes brought him to a lunch while at one of the races. As we were being introduced...and he heard my name... he perked up. NICE,Wanger? Thats your name? Really? Can we use it? It might come in useful. We both laughed and that's the last I ever talked to him. I remember NHRA not liking it, a lot of talk in the pits on wondering if NHRA was going to put their foot down. He knew they did not like it. Didn't take very long and his Cavalier ? was called for a random teardown and they found something wrong with his crankshaft. I can't remember exactly what it was. They threw him out for a year with a hefty fine, and shorty later he sold everything.

It's been a hoot. From having to show my driver's licenses to girls at bars and tables, all the way to held up at work on a random ID check while trying to get out of the parking lot onto the main highway. The Lady Guard just didn't believe that was my real name. New girls on the Plants switchboard frequently would not page me for outside contractors, as they thought they were being pranked. One of John and I's favorites was when I was running Lincoln Morehead. Leo started this "Who out there wants "Nice Wanger? And who out there is rooting for More HEAD ! Brother John was rolling around on the ground laughing when I got back to the pits...
The first time we ran Kanawa Valley's points race I was summoned up to the tower. It was third round or so. We ended up going rounds and winning it, so the announcer had someone come and get me. He was getting tongue tied trying to pronounce our name. When I told him how to pronounce it, he looked at me and sheepishly said " I can't say that down here in the hills of WV. They will think I'm being vulgar." When I was a kid, 18 or so, some of the guys started calling me "Wanger". It stuck, and for many a year I was referred to as Wanger by my gang. I had my fill of running the bars and took up racing. John joined along. Superstock here we come. Somehow...John was referred to as Wanger also. This quickly caused confusion. To my shock, folk stated calling John BIG Wanger and me Little Wanger! Not Cool!
