Re: Original hemi dart information
PAUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your back!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome my friend. Was getting concerned you dropped off the face of the earth, or maybe got some one & one time with Giata on some private Carribean Island, sippin' rums with umbrellas or sumthin.
re: Manhatten Speed Shop/Parts. you bet they existed.I spoke with owner Joe Doto a few months ago. They did in fact sponsor quite a few race cars back then including the Olds, a 69? cuda & a Vega. But Joe told me they never sponsored no Dart of any kind. Joe himself was into the blue oval stuff & even had a couple cammers in his possesion at the time Paul Now that we have some definate direction, car wise, can I unleash you unto the world? Your a definate asset with your knowledge base (let's not forget that freakin memory) (yes I'm jealous), & your geographical location. Take some Giata time off, store those cute drink umbrellas for awhile & Go get em' dude. Watch out world, Paul's on the loose. liteweight DDHDP Tim Hennessey LO23 circa 1986 http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...l/IMG_0037.jpg http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...l/IMG_0039.jpg http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...l/IMG_0040.jpg |

Daryl,
'Giada' says,,,,,,,,,,,'Ciao', and to take it easy on those Canoli's. In 1968, that Manhattan Speed Shop {or Parts} Dart was at the WCS Points meet at Englishtown, New Jersey. They ran against Charlie Castaldo in Eliminations. Paul |

so, we started off as Manhatten Speed Shop next Manhatten Speed Parts Now Manhattan Speed Parts Think we might have the correct name on this car now might explain the non connection to the actual speed Shop that was in Manhatten, NY now just gotta fiqure out, is it a misprint???, Like the class designation of SS/B rather than SS/BA that's associated with this car also Kickin' & Screamin'. This car just won't give up it's identity easily will it? liteweight http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...ps28f58206.png http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5e6a00ad.jpg |
Re: Original hemi dart information
Hey Daryl,
I am Scott ...not Steve, but I understand how easy it is to mix up a name when we all have super secret internet handles that we go by these days. Hopefully Manhattan with an "A" will lead to some solid evidence. All of this suspense lately is keeping me awake at night. |
Re: Original hemi dart information
Total appologies Scott!!! My bad. Ya, yur right tho. It's hard to keep up with the online names when you can't place a face to them. I have a hard enough time membering peoples names even after meeting them personally......... Damn...... age sucks. What's in the bag of tricks next?? does it come in the form of a purple pill??? Noooo, say it ain't so. I refuse................................ No pokin with no ropin ;)

Gentleman,
'Manhattan' is Manhattan, New York Manhattan Speed Shop was located on the border of The Bronx and Manhattan, off of Bronx Boulevard. Very close to Linder Oldsmobile......... which was on Bronx Boulevard, Bronx, New York http://www.doverdragstrip.com/phpBB3...le.php?id=8582 |
