I’m sure but we are more into collecting big checks and it’s a safe bet that we have won a WHOLE LOT more $ in the last 5 years than anyone, everyone posting in this thread and probably this forum!

Re: ET with and without wheelie.

The fallacy of the big check is the split
The recent 500K race paid 120K to the winner
Nice hit but not the half a million advertised
Racers in the late rounds split to cover expenses they share the "b\Big Check".

Just Truth & Fact.

The cost to attend these races: entry fees in 1Ks plus travel expenses. MOST entrants don't turn a profit in fact are just contributors having some fun.

As learned fly fishing in the Catskills in the 70s and 80s: 90% of the fish are caught by 10% of the fisherman.

As some loud mouth, obnoxious, disagreeable, nasty, person likes to post up. WTF does this have to do with the OP's question?

1. we don't split

2. my reply was to nickh

3. stanley, ain't ever competed, nor has a drag car, no mind one that can wheelie

4. there hasn't been a reply too the OP's questions about wheelies in 4 days, post #210!:p

that said, 36.424 views on our way to 37,000 views about wheelies! :D

Exactly after all responses to the OP's questions are done. It seems 1320racer still has diarrhea of the keyboard. He also is reveling in how the click / view count keeps climbing.

I wish you kids would quit...

In regards to the original question, I have been working a good bit on my 572 COPO lately. I can tell you for a fact that the only way you will get that car to repeat with a three-speed is to put all of the weight on the rear tire.

Ed, on the no splitting I don't think I would split either. I know it would not make others happy but just don't think I would split either. Damn the Torpedoes LOL

Re: ET with and without wheelie.

nick it doesn't and hasn't, there is video that shows that when Kyle wouldn't split at the Fling $100K. Most everyone that competes at these big $ gambler races just wants to make the split whether that's at 16 or 32 cars. That ain't us, we'll consider splitting at 4 depending on who the other 3 are but what we are not doing is agreeing that the ultimate winner is going to kick back 60% of the guaranteed money to the winner which is typically the percentage, to the 15 losers.

That's a different issue and not the OP's question.

It is 100% relevant. In a perfect world, any car would go faster if all four tires were on the ground. That said, when tire size becomes a limiting factor, the wheelie is the only thing allowing the car to move forward.
