This pic was posted on facebook awhile back. Bill Weakley from Ohio, looks to be from the 80's. Being from Ohio, i thought i'd seen all the cars he raced but i don't remember this one. Does anyone know the story on this Dart?

Never noticed the smaller lettering on the door before.
This would be "Chargin' Charlie Castaldo" :D |
Re: Original hemi dart information
Correct Charlie,
Charlie's 1st Dart was a 4-Speed 'SS/B'. He totaled it at Englishtown, at the 1st NHRA Points Meet in May 1969. Charlie then bought Tom Crutchfield's Dart {Kokomo, Indiana} which was a SS/BA Dart. The 2nd Dart was lettered 'Chargin' Charlie Castaldo by 'Dino the Weirdo' at Charlie's home in Scarsdale, New York. According to 'Dino', the Schaefer Beer was flowing that night. https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=HN.6080...2&pid=15.1&P=0 |

Some of the old paint jobs from that time frame were created with
something that flowed and something that was rolled. Wonder if legalization is going to bring out the old airbrushes again? Just can't match the old stuff with a vinyl wrap. |
