Because the guy red lit and eliminated himself from competition. He left before he was allowed to go. Not much else matters after that.

When you were in grade school or kindergarten and you had to stand in a straight line to go to lunch, it must have killed you that somebody was always ahead of you. Somebody was first and somebody was last. The kid at the front of the line got first choice at the cafeteria serving line. He got the gooey, cheesy mac-n-cheese. The kid at the end of the line got the scrapings, the over cooked noodles and the burnt on cheese.
Was that ever fair?

I`m glad I didn`t attend that school!

How about this? If you both breakout, you both lose, fair and square...

Does that make sense to you?

If not, why not? You seemed to like the idea of a double red light disqualifying both cars.

This is just more of the same...

Hey good suggestion Bill - I did not think of that - now you are talking

Why not - if your into changing fundementals

You both lose - why give an advatage to either guy when they both f...ed up

So, when would you see the other side of that coin; when the SECOND guy to go would red light and make it so the first guy to go never had a chance to red light?

You wouldn't.

There IS no other side to that coin.

It's like a two-headed coin that can be flipped all day long, and it will always be "heads."

Unnecessarily unfair.

Surely, you can understand that.

But, that accomplishes nothing in the interest of removing an unfair facet of the game.

If you remove the "first red light" rule in favor of a "worst red light" rule, you equalize the possibility of EITHER car having a chance to red light, wherein the way it stands now, there is always a possibility that the second car to leave will NOT have his turn to red light (IF the first car bulbs.)

With the current "double breakout; worst infraction loses," there is never a chance that one of the two cars is deprived of the "breakout jeopardy."

Never.

Either car can lose, irrespective of what the other car does... it's always the worse infraction. Equal jeopardy.

There is no "equal jeopardy" when the first car bulbs, with this current, slanted, rule.

Free rides for the firat car. Not the most desirable situation, for a level playing field.

Easy to fix...

No changes in driver program...

Damages no one.

Advantage to no one.

Fans will be unaware that there was a change.

Red light equality. Finally... :)

Just so you know I think things are fine the way they are but for the sake of your arguing -

4 guys left in the semis - 3 redlight - one winner right - no - one guys gets a second chance - same with break outs - 3 breakout - one gets a second chance

A redlight or breakout is a self DQ - if you DQ yourself - why do you get a second chance

You no why - I will tell you why - because that is the way it is - it is the rules

I am going to get my truck washed - an excellent Saturday morning activity

Enjoy the Kentucky Derby later

I was able to resist this thread for 32 pages - sorry Lord I am weak

I knew both lossing would never fly

You might have a point if it were not for the fact that four guys did 95% of the posts

So many NITRO JOE would need to do a stat on who did how many on this thread

'from the car wash' I love wifi

:-) peace

Now on to more serious concerns - who is your Derby pick?

We should lock all four of them in a small room, last one standing wins a free trip to Glendora where he can plead his case to the powers above.

On the "Stock and Super Stock" forum page, click on "Replies" at the top of the reply column and it will sort all threads by the number of replies.

This thread is currently 7th all time only about 25 replies out of 3rd.

I don't know about y'all, but when I am doing my job and concentrating on my lights, I do not see the other side at all. Maybe I am not paying enough attention to the other guy?????
