Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Yesterday was "Backup Day", it involved having the backup harness to interchange quickly with the one in the car. I found out that Weather Pack connectors may look the same but will not plug in due to a difference in slotting. Bob Toy to the rescue, Thanks.
Talk about a monkey and a football, it had to be fun to watch with me and my hands and Weather Pack pins. I got it done, but should have watched You Tube. |
Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Headers on the DP Challenger are evil on the even cylinder side. No room for my hands or wrenches, I do have a new 10mm universial socket comming.

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
In 1970 on 428 CJ Mustang in the aparment gravel parking lot on a very warm summers day. I thought my neighbor, his car, and I were going to have to pull the engine to get it done. It is a chore.
The new trans shield is causing interferance with the O2 sensors. I have new stuff coming, SS 10* bungs, washers, and plugs. Just another day at the office. Its hard work to make the car easy to work on. Did I say that right? |

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
And then it hits you! With all the bendable, brakeable plastic, pulling the car in and out the trailer without damage is difficult. I never gave it much thought after watching Kevin Helms drive the new Challengers in and out of the trailers all those years and still does. It looked so easy, but not for me.......no room for me.
So now I have to make something to pull from the center of the car without being in the way of plastic removal. I'm so ready to say "Ta-Dah" and go test it. |
Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Whatever you come up with, make two. I need the same. I think Lloyd has a hook through the front grill. Give him a call. Thanks, Dyno
