Anyone that "stays in it" After getting out of shape (Unless it's the final round of a National event) Is a MORON. Import racers are real good at doing that.
Nothing can be learned from that point on.
Tracks should punish offenders that do this

Alan,
If running 1/8 they data for 3/16mile if running 1/4 they get data for 3/8 mi.

The guy @ Bowling Green was in 70-72 body style Camaro, his name was Craig Mc Callum, he was from NC?, my friend was just feet from car when stopped,he will never forget what he saw ,it was bad deal. He said car hit drivers side fender first while airborne where wall ended and guardrail started then sent through scoreboard post which are probaly 8-10 '' I beams standing vertical. When stopped all left of was one bar of main hoop on driver side, lenco went through fence and windshield of a parked S-10.

Bowling Green now has concrete walls all the way down track now.

Yeah, that was the one. It looked like a mushroom cloud went straight up in the air for a hundred feet when he hit. The most memorable moment was watching him sail upside down over the top of the Camaro he was racing against...cleared him by about three feet vertically. They tried to finish the event afterwards running it in a 1/8 mile format, but no one's heart was in it. Most of the racers left while a few just idled down the track for points sake.

The car was destroyed and if you look close the sumbitch is thrown smooth out of that piece of ****. Should have lifted a good 5 seconds before the car even got near the centerline.

If you watch that whole video you'll notice that it never should have passed tech. His seat gets launched out of the car during the wreck after he is dumped out of it.

That place didnt even have guardrails. He probably didn't even have seat belts. the part about that video that irks me the most is that that episode probably either shut racing down for the day or probably severely slowed the program down. He destroyed his s*** and cause a lot of inconvenience and work for others because he couldn't lift a good five seconds before the car started rolling. That car was not gonna run its number before he hit second gear. the other guy that I hate is the one that blows his motor befote the three hundred and thirty foot mark and stays in the center of the track all the way down .

There was a thread about that on Yellowbullet a while back. She posted that the lawsuit was filed by her Dad because he claimed it was intentional as you said. She claimed they withdrew the suit, but I recall the judge throwing it out too. IIRC, Van Cleve lost an oil line off the motor and got loose in his own oil.

I have a buddy who got hit in the side at the Bracket Finals a few years ago not once but twice by the same guy on the same pass. Guy got loose and stayed in it, crossed the c/l and hit Kim, got back in it, and hit him again. Kim went to find him in the pits afterward and the guy would not even talk to him.

Looking at the video really makes you wonder if it was intentional. The clocks or score boards were never reset and the ET and dial in are still up from the previous run.

That's because they got all tangled up.
