We work on efficiency every step of the way. Yes, pairing cars will be more challenging than running a bracket race, but we've got Nitro Joe, Donald Braun, Danny Waters, Sr., and Jim Woods among others to help facilitate the process. Racers working together can help us even more.

In terms of weather, as I posted in the "2001 USCN" thread, I did my weather history research all the way back to 2002, and 2010 is the only year that would've been tough. There were a couple of years that may have required small schedule adjustments, but overall, the conditions for the first weekend in May in Hebron, OH are generally pretty favorable.

Herb - get back to work on a ride for the next generation of McCandless... better be ready for next spring! :D

Michael as far as pairing goes give them XX amount of time to get up there or have a crewmember to explain why they aren't there. If not they lose.

Art, I'll have that handled, if your one of those that don't want to come up to the very end, you better hope you qualify on the last page. I don't go for those games.

You know, years ago, Quaker City had chains across the rear of the staging lanes. I remember when they pulled the first pair out, they put the chains up and close the lanes. It didn't matter if you were on your way, Mossy would turn you around and send you back - FUNNY THING -, I don't remember any games back then. When they called your class, it was like a race to the lanes.

Mike..just had a thought !

National Records !
Even though they would not be sanctioned officially.
You are running the Class Nationals on a yearly basis.
How about recording the best ET in each class?

Much like local tracks keep a list of their record runs.
You would not have official NR runs.
They most likely be recorded during the class heads up races.
Would be basically a bookkeeping and verification.

Might be able to generate some contingency money for the bragging rights.
Plus would not add to the schedule.

just a thought.

Don't think we need chains, just an understanding that this is not an NHRA race. We will separate up eliminators as previously described with different color run stickers. This will keep 60 cars or so in the lanes at any given time, as opposed to a 200 car cluster all at the same time. When we call you, we need you. Our goal is to get you in the lanes and down the track so you can get back to enjoying the event however you choose.

In the morning, if the start time is 9am, that means we'll give you a heads -up at 20-of, call the first batch of cars at 8:45, and have two in the puddle doing burnouts at 9am sharp.

We will have a lot of cars, but with your cooperation we can have a smooth and super fun historic event.

Thank you to everyone at Bowling Green for your outpouring of support! The Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals is enjoying tremendous momentum just over 8 months ahead of game time. Special tip o' the cap to Mike & Paula Cotton for taking flyers with them for their west coast travels.

We have a bunch of new sponsors to announce, but we want everyone to get their due and not get lost in the shuffle while Indy is going on. I will say we have great news on the Quick 32's, #1 Qualifiers, Wheelstand Contest, and Ed Carpenter is doing a great job with the SS/K Shootout -- for that, check out his thread at http://classracer.com/classforum/showthread.php?t=48910

I will be at Indy on Thursday with flyers and decals for anyone we didn't see at BG. See you then!

Got room for a Montana car? I already asked for the time off next year, and I'm bringing the 'Dog. Hell, it may come on a towbar! *If* I can find a 2bbl setup, I'd like to throw down in the U/SA challenge...
